The arts can help keep us well, aid our recovery, support longer lives better lived, meet major challenges facing social care, ageing, long-term conditions, loneliness and mental health - as well as save money in social care. Those are the key findings in a briefing paper by the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Arts, Health and Wellbeing (APPGAHW) in partnership with the Social Care Institute for Excellence (Scie). Click here.

Research has shown that in some cases older people in care can spend nearly 80% of their day sitting which can have a serious impact on physical and mental health.
