A new law seeks to protect the rights of people who do not have the mental capacity to make decisions about their care and to reduce the burden on local authorities. Read more here.

A 16-page best practice guide on adult safeguarding has been published by the East Anglia and NHS Adult Safeguarding Forum. The Forum says its Adult Safeguarding Best Practice Guidance for Providers of Healthcare in East Anglia and Essex  has received “phenomenal” feeback in terms of the value of the resource for health and social care providers and practitioners.
