NICE, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence has published a quality standard on social care for older people with multiple long-term conditions. Click here. In conjunction with Scie, the Social Care Institute for Excellence it has also produced a better home care for older people guide. Read more.

The Care Quality Commission has produced a report called Building bridges, breaking barriers: Integrated care for older people which looks at how well care for older people is integrated across health and social care, as well as the impact on older people who use services and their families and carers.

Disability Rights UK has produced a fact sheet on getting a personal assistant (PA). Direct payments enable people to purchase services from care providers or employ their own PA.
